It should but I wouldn't.  Run the 16GB or buy more of the same for 32GB.

 

Sell the 4 and 8.

 

Why retard your fast RAM?  Do you have the dire need for more than 16?

what CPU do you have?

Becuase yes, it should technically work but the performance loss from running at 2400 instead of 3200 is very noticeable for Ryzen but shouldn't really be that different on Intel. Also if they are different voltages you might have to overvolt the lower one or undervolt the higher one.
