Computer Specs:

  • Ryzen 7 1700 8 core @ 3.0 GHz
  • B350 Krait Gaming (MS-7B08)
  • EVGA GTX 1080 8gb
  • Corsair 4x 16gb (64gb total) @ 3,200 MHz

New here but had a question. After noticing my computer had a common bug I guess (My CPU was stuck at 1.55 GHz) I changed my initially default settings to OC settings:

  • CPU Voltage: 1.28
  • NB Voltage: 1.08
  • DRAM Voltage: 1.35

After I changed this my CPU changed up to a base speed of 3.0 GHZ. My RAM has a speed of 2.133 GHz. Before I did this I ran the cinebench and got a score of 1242 and when I did the changes to the OC I ran Cinebench again and got a score of 3096. So I was wondering is that normal? Unsure if I should go to the defaults, stay at these settings or tinker it more till I get the RAM speed at around 3,200 MHz

voltages look fine, you need to enable XMP for your RAM to run at the right speed though

I spent $2500 on building my PC and all i do with it is play no games atm & watch anime at 1080p(finally) watch YT and write essays...  nothing, it just sits there collecting dust...

Builds:

The Toaster Project! Northern Bee!

The original LAN PC build log! (Old, dead and replaced by The Toaster Project & 5.0)

at stock, idling at 1.5ghz is normal unless you manually lock the freq.
