Hi,

I am looking to upgrade my system this year. Most probably gonna buy around Black Friday to hopefully save some money. Here is my actual setup.

- CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 1600

- MOBO: MSI B350 Tomahawk

- Memory: Corsair Vengeance LPX 16GB (2X8GB) DDR4-3000

- Storage: WD Caviar Blue 1TB HDD, WD Black PCIe 256GB NVME SSD, Seagate 600 Pro SSD 240GB.

- GPU: PNY GTX 1060 6GB

- PSU: EVGA SuperNova G2 850W 80+ Gold Fully Modular

- Case: Corsair 270R ATX Mid Tower

- Monitor: Asus VG245H 24'' 1920x1080 75Hz

- Keyboard: Corsair Vengeance K95

- Mouse Corsair Scimitar PRO RGB

- Cooling: STOCK

I am looking at the moment to upgrade my CPU and my GPU.

Will probably gonna go with:

- CPU: Ryzen 5 3600X

- GPU: RTX 2070 Super

For the GPU, I would like to have some help on what company I should go with. Since I'm not confident on which one I should go with.

Also, should I upgrade anything else at the same time?

Thanks

Keep in mind you'll have to flash the bios on that motherboard first to make sure it will be compatible with the 3600X.

For the GPU generally just pick the cheapest card as long as it's from a reputable brand, google the model to check that the cooling performance is sufficient. EVGA is generally considered the 'best' company for nvidia cards, bet they aren't the cheapest.

You may also want to consider the 5700XT depending on what games you play

CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 2600X  |  Cooler: Cryorig H7  |  Motherboard: MSI B450 Mortar  |  Case: Fractal Design Meshify C Mini  |  RAM: 32GB DDR4 3000MHz  |  GPU: EVGA 1070ti Gaming (Kraken G12 Watercooled) |  PSU: Corsair TXM650  |  Storage: Samsung 860 EVO 500GB + WD Blue M.2 500GB  |  Network Card: Asus PCE-AC56  |  Monitor: Acer Nitro VG270U  |  Audio: Sennheiser HD6XX + Schiit Fulla 2

Laptop:

Lenovo s540:  CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 3500U  |  RAM: 8GB DDR4 2666MHz  |  GPU: AMD Radeon Vega 8  |  Storage: 256GB NVME SSD

I like EVGA, they have great customer service and make great cards. GIgabyte, ASUS, and MSI all make good cards too. I like GIgabyte's triple 80mm designs as they are often not that much more expensive than the reference (10$ at most), and are a good bit better. ASUS has their strix cards, which imo is their only good card, those have good pcbs and are quiet, but are much more expensive than reference. MSI has their Gaming and Armor which are pretty good, but in that price range EVGA has their XC ultra and FTW cards which are similarly well cooled but evga has great customer service and warranty terms.
