So I am building a video editing computer. I am 99% sure that I want to go with an AMD cpu. I am still a little torn between a 3700/3800/3900x or going Threadripper rout. Also to be honest, no idea what graphics card is going to provide the best bang for the buck. I want it to be known that I do not game at all. So gaming performance is irrelevant to me. I will be working with gorpo 4k footage and gopro 1080 240fps and 120 and 60fps footage. Also Some insta 360 footage. Any valuable input is greatly appreciated.

what editing program ar eyou using?

Id probably aim for midrange, so something like a 2060 super is what id get. WIth things like gopro footage, you will pretty cpu limited often as its h264 and that needs a lot of cpu to decode. Transcoding will make editing much faster.

I am using Adobe Premier Pro and Adobe Rush. So with it being CPU intensive, what is your opinion on the options I am looking at for CPU's?

The 3900x is faster, but costs more, so you can decide if its worth it.

The 9900k, has some advantages cause the igpu can be used in premeire.

I am definitely a bigger fan of AMD. So I will most likely go with the 3900x. I appreciate the input. But you would recommend the 2060 super over any AMD cards currently available?

since your using premiere you won't need cuda, so a amd call will work about the same. So a 5700x or a vega would work well here aswell.

Also, for youtube/facebook what video editing software would you recommend? I do admit that I do not know a lot about this. So I would rather ask than pretend like I know more than I do.

Editing software really depends on what your comfortable with.  Adobe CC is pretty common and the other apps are nice. Final cut is good if your on a mac. Avid has a steep learning curve so id stay away if you haven't learned it
