I have a dilemma. I want to use 1080p 144hz, even if it means sacrificing one of my three monitors for a while, on my new card. Currently I have the 1060 6GB, but have recently purchased and obtained the 2070 Super, just waiting on new PSU to put it in. I have three monitors, the 1080p 144hz being connected straight to the 1060 with a DVI-D. The other two monitors only have dvi and vga connectors, while the 144hz only has HDMI, VGA, AND DVI-D (yes i checked). Since the 2070 does not have a dvi port, what do I need to be able to use my monitor at its fullest potential?

tldr; gpu doesnt have dvi, monitor only has hdmi and dvi, what do i need for 144hz 1080p

I am currently running a DVI monitor with an hdmi adapter screwed to it. I've never bought one, but I assume they can't be too expensive. They are simple, and can permanently be screwed to the monitor. Perhaps that can solve your issue?

Desktop:

CPU: Ryzen 5 1600 @3.75* RAM: 2 by 8gb G.Skill Flare X 2400 @2666* GPU Strix GTX 1070 @1880-ish

Storage: Samsung 860 Evo 500gb; 2x 2tb Seagate Barracuda Drives; 1tb hdd (It died after 4 years :();

Laptop: (HP Stream 11-y010nr "Spent all my money on my Desktop" Edition)

CPU: Intel Celeron N3060 @160 BILLION hertz RAM: 400 BILLION bytes Samsung DDR3L @160 BILLION hertz

GPUIntel HIGH DEFINITION Graphics @32 BILLION hertz

Storage: 32 TRILLION bytes of SOLID STATE emmc C drive with 64 TRILLION bytes of SOLID STATE microSD card D drive.

Your saying your 144hz monitor only supports that speed over DVI?

Can you link the model please?
