Safe Overclock?

I'm completely new to overclocking and overclocked my 2400mhz HyperX Ram to 2666 using gigabyte easy tune. Just wondering if this is safe. It seems to be working just fine so far I just don't want to cause damage in the long-run.

 

My motherboard is a Gigabyte B450 Gaming X and my CPU is a Ryzen 5 2600.

is the ram actually 2400mhz and you're running it past it's rating? Or is it 2666 and you've just brought it up to its rating?

Unless you're adjusting RAM voltages as well, and adjusting them pretty high, then you have nothing to worry about.

Bought the ram at 2400mhz. Going past it's rating.

well theres no temperature probe on the memory so it's a tossup for what it's actually doing. Just run it till it breaks , memory is kinda cheap these days
