Help with mobile hotspot stuff

Hey do any of y'all know how to connect a ethernet cable to your phone and use it as a mobile hotspot over a ethernet instead of USB c or wifi

 

Specifically I am trying to hotspot my PS3 Slim with my note 9, I have tried to use the normal thing where you turn on your hotspot using wireless and use the wifi adapter on the PS3 itself but it will not pick up my phone's hotspot network 

 

I am wondering if I got a usb type c to rj45 adapter if I could then plug a networking cable between and it would just work

Well I tried over usb but the PS3 doesn't know how to deal with a phone plugged into it, if you know the setting or process for that it could be a option for me as well

. Go into "Settings" and in the "Wireless & networks" section tap "More".
2. Now tap "Tethering & portable hotspot".
3. For "Wireless Tethering" tap "Set up Wi-Fi hotspot"
4. On this new screen you will see options for a "Network Name", "Security", "Password" and "Network Band". You can change them or keep them as is. It is really up to you.
5. Now you would just need to search for the hotspot by name using the second device.

I've tried that it doesn't work think it has something to do with the wifi adapter in my phone being different (as it's much newer) then the ps3's

I can't seem to set this up. I did go out and get a type c to ethernet adapter but not sure how to setup the ethernet on my phone because tethering isn't enabled
