My pixel 2 XL did not charge, and showed me a red battery icon with a charge logo on it

Yesterday, before I went to sleep I plugged my pixel like I always do, and in the morning I saw a battery icon, and the edge of the battery was to the left, and it was filled with red, and it had a charge icon on it. This screen (that I have never seen before today) would appear for like 30 sec, and then disappear and then show up again. 

When, I tried to power on my pixel, but it just returned to the red battery icon.

 
I solved this it connecting my phone to my computer, and then the normal battery icon appeared back (the white one)
 
Did that happen to anyone, or is it just me?
