So I just recently completed a new build and I get no output to my monitors. My mobo doesn’t have any troubleshooting leds and there were no beep codes, so I’ve reset everything, tried with one stick of ram, tried different outputs and nothing works

all the leds light up. My case and gpu fans spin up, my cpu fan does not

Any ideas would be appreciated

im running an i5-9400F on an asus B365M Pro4 motherboard, 2x gskill ripjaws v 3000 8gb of ram, a msi gtx 1050ti, and a Corsair 450 watt power supply.

Fix your cpu issue first before you move on to do anything else. If the cpu fan doesn't spin, check if you are plugged into the correct fan header on mobo, also check you plugged it in correctly (check 4 pins are plugged into it correctly), sometimes the cpu header is hard to plug in and people plug it in with only 3 pin in. Also reset the cmos to make sure cpu fan is not disabled or anything.

CPU fan should spin before anything else

Hi Taysby what I would recommend s to get a different coolerr to see if its the header or try pushing in the fan header first. I would also RMA that graphics card and get a new one.

Specs: AMD Ryzen 5 2600 EVGA NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 XC Ultra 16 GB of Corsair Vengence Gigbyte B450 Aorus Pro EVGA Supernova 650 G3 Thermaltake V200 TG RGB

I tried plugging it into a different header that I know works, still didn’t turn on

so we think it’s a DOA gpu?

Verified it’s plugged into the correct slot and correctly. Still didn’t turn on

tried it on a header I know works. Still didn’t turn on

reset cmos and it looks like it gets power for a second because the blades wiggle but it does not turn on. I’m thinking the fan curve is set to turn on only under load

For your GPU I would plug it into a different port because that one may be dead. I would also change your CPU cooler if you have one from another build to see if its a fan problem. If none of that works for the fan I would get a replacement motherboard. For the GPU I think its either a dead port or a dead GPU entirely. It could have been jostled around in shipping. breaking that port. I would also use some compressed air for the ports to get the dust out if there is any. Did you buy your GPU used or new?

Still, if CPU fan doesn't turn on, you gotta fix this first. get a new cpu fan. I doubt it is the cpu fan issue causing it to not boot ( Old motherboard usually requires CPU fan to be detected before it boot ), if not cpu fan, then ur motherboard could be dead. If it has bios flashback with USB, try that. But fix your CPU fan first, we can't diagnose multiple issues.

Looks like it’s just an issue with my the cpu fan female end. When it’s halfway on it turns on just fine
