Suggestions on STREAMING & OTHER STUFF

I'm new here & I have some questions. Hope you guys can help me.

First, here's my pc specs--------

CPU-Intel 8th Genaration Core i3-8100
Motherboard-AsRock B360M-HDV
RAM-Corsair Vengeance LPX 8GB DDR4 2400MHz
GPU-Gigabyte GeForce GT 1030 2GB GDDR5 OC
Case-Maxgreen ATX Mid-Tower
Storage-WD Blue 1TB
PSU-Gamdias Kratos E-1 500W 80+ Bronze
Display-Samsung SF-350 1366x768
Cooling-Stock Cooler which came with Processor
Operating System-Windows 10 Pro 64-Bit

MY UPLOAD SPEED IS 1.5-2.00 mbps

QUESTIONS----

1. Can I stream R6:Siege on Twitch in 720p 30FPS using x264 in OBS? (I play at 1366x768 everything on low)
2. If yes, then what should be my bitrate?
3. What should be my temp when I'm gaming & streaming at the same time? (using stock cooler)
4. Will it be harmful to my pc?
5. What resolution & bitrate is suitable for my pc if I only want to record using x264 in OBS?

THANKS FOR CO-OPERATING!

1. no

2. no bc of 1

3. below 85 is best practice for gpu and 90 for cpu

4. no bc you won't be able to

5. prob 480p at 30fps

Adding to above. Your upload is good for max 1000kbps. That's nope for 720p, so 480p or 360p only. At which point you really need to think if it's worth it. Your GPU doesn't have capability to use NVENC. And from CPU side you are already tight. You can try to record with QuickSync. But that's your only hope as CPU performance as it's own will not be enough for encoding.

No of this will be harmful. Only running heavy OC or long-term heavy loads (90% usage 247) might cause issues.

Temps won't be anything to worry about. Probably 85C on CPU, 80C on GPU.

what's the reason? upload speed or hardware or both?

what I have to do to stream at 720p30?

both

Streaming with x264 requires alot of resources that your quad core isn't capable of which is why most setups use a dual pc setup as those same resources are needed to drive the game

and your upload speed is no where near for 720p 30 without being a pixelated mess so even if you get the setup to stream it won't look good

1. what upload speed should I have?

after I fix my internet issues, what hardware I have to upgrade?

2. Can I only just upgrade my gpu to GTX cards to use NVENC?

or, 3. Can I have to upgrade my cpu?

whatever speedtest or whatever website you use uploadspeed divided by 2 is roughly your upload so your 2mbps is really only 1

you need at least 4000 for 720p 30fps, so speed test must read 8000 or more

Im unsure if your card supports nvenc but yes nvenc will make your system resource usage virtually 0 so you could stream using it

Ok, this is not correct. For 720p30 2500kbps is fine, 3500kbps max (quality differences after 2700kbps are minimal. So 5mb upload is what is required for smooth streaming.

You could have read my post. While I didn't link to Wikipedia which I used to verify, you could have looked it up too fairly easily.

Anyway, GPU upgrade to GTX would help. But for streaming only. CPU is still entry level, and you will notice it if you try to run any more CPU heavy games.

no I just want to stream for now, recording is optional.

so if I get a GTX 1050Ti then can I stream at 720p30? or I have to upgrade my cpu also?

Well, thats very minor upgrade. And I wasn't talking about recording. Recording is pretty much same as streaming. Except you usually use higher bitrate for recording as you don't need to worry about upload speeds. I meant running CPU heavy games while streaming.
