I badly need to insert a pci 1x device on the only pci 1x slot that my mobo has and the problem is, I think something is stuck on it. I can't easily insert the device and BIOS isn't getting any read from the device.

I need something that would remove that gunk. I tried using paintbrush and a mini screwdriver to poke any edges but to no avail.

You can also insert the PCIE (I assume PCIE? Not PCI?) card into a larger PCIE slot.
