Hey guys, friend asked me to build him upgradable pc for 900eur. Can you help me to choose decent B450 with good memory support and which will handle r7 3700x in the future. For now we are going for R5 2600, yeah yeah i know r5 3600 would be better, but it also cost twice as much in my country and it isn't twice faster. So it should be enough considering we are going to pair it with RX 5700. So tell me your opinion guys. Maybe you are user of some b450 boards, tell me your feedback. Thanks!

MSI are the best value for the VRMs, the Tomahawk would be ideal but if thats too expensive its siblings like the A-Pro/Mortar/Bazooka are perfectly decent alternatives

Not sure which country in Europe you're from, but I threw together a build using German prices and 900EUR budget can get you a pretty decent system

Spoiler

V2 is pretty low-end from MSI's range, not ideal for a 2600 much less a 3600

The Aorus Elite/M is not even close to its Intel's Aorus counterpart, Gigabyte's AMD B450 range is very disappointing compared their Intel offerings (though their X570 is very good so far)

If the upgrade is going to happen in the future then why not buy a x570 motherboard so that it might be later easier for the future?

Because X570 is still very expensive and if OP's market has the 3600 being double the price of a 2600 I can't imagine what X570 motherboards (the ones worth investing in) prices are

The B450 boards particularly higher up MSI's range still have very good VRMs and perfectly capable of handling 3rd gen Ryzen. And B450 is way cheaper.

That's right, if you are going for something more price sensitive, dont go to X570 it's pretty much a waste of money considering you are only getting PCIe4.0.

Like said, MSI B450 Tomahawk is pretty good and if you can find the B450 Steel Legend is also a very good alternative and perhaps even cheaper.

I haven't owned it very long, but I have an MSI B450 Gaming Plus that's been fine so far. I'm running a 2700x on it, so a 3700x should be no problem. It posted first time almost instantly, and the memory set to the XMP profile without any trouble.

It was also Ryzen 3000 ready out of the box.
