Laptop for GF

My girlfriend wants to get a macbook pro. She mainly plans to do coding and business stuff (Microsoft office and Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Dreamweaver). 

 

My main question is between the two models I have attached in images. 

 

I'm wondering what's worth it more extra base clock or 16gb ram. So the 1.4ghz with 16gb for $1,499 + $200 (for ram) or the 2.4ghz with 8gb ram for $1,799
