Ram speed low

So I was in the bios of my computer and I found my ram speed was 2133 and not the 3000 I purchased. Is there anything i could do to resolve this issue?

(I have corsair RGB Pro 16 gigs of 3000mhz)

Are you sure your motherboard and CPU support the full speed?

Set the XMP or DOCP profile in your BIOS to OC the ram to its speeds.  Restart, see if it takes.  If it does not than it will set itself back to a workable speed such as 2133mhz

Basically this.

 

Enable XMPin the BIOS, save and exit, restart, and see what speed it says. You will likely want to run some stress tests just to confirm your CPU's memory controller can actually do this without issue, but its likely going to be just fine.These days 3000 isn't all that high. For instance, I am running 3000 on 4 8 GB sticks with my 8700k @ 5 ghz all core OC...
