So, I just got the ATH AD900X and the creative sound blaster G6. I mainly play rainbow six siege and listen to music. The problem is I cant hear sounds in game like I could on my corsair void pro's. like I sound whore a lot in this game and gets me like probably 30-40% of my kills. So sound is very important  to me and my friend suggested these cans to me so I said lets try it. So I heard that the ath ad900x were a great pair of sound whoring headphones so I decided that I should probably get an amp and dac to better emphasis and purify the audio signal. So when I plug the cans in directly to my pc its far to quite even at 100%. when I plug them into the sound blaster G6 they leave a tinny sound effect over the audio if I try to mess with the EQ or stuff like surround or the crystallize... I am so new to this stuff and was expecting to just be able to come from the voids with a sound improvement but I cant get any of this stuff to work well together.. Also, I loved the surround sound on the voids with my EQ I had made but now that I am on these cans IDK what to do because I want surround but also dont want a crappy surround sound experience. So, if anyone knows this hardware and could help me out with an EQ or like setting for this amp+dac combo I would be very happy and grateful.

Sorry for not really knowing much about all this its just like jumping head first into a whole new scenery that I have no idea about and everything just feels overwhelming.

Give this a read: https://www.laptopmag.com/articles/microsoft-windows-10-bug-start-menu-game-audio

tl;dr a recent win10 patch breaks game audio, especially surround, a patch is expected soon.

Don't do anything until the situation with that improves.
