I have a problem guys, my pc makes a constant noise just like a cheap chassis fan and I can't locate it.

I recently upgraded my pc with noctua nh-d15 and mastercooler silencio fans thinking the noise will be lowered and it did, but there is something else in my pc that makes noise and it's not the fans from the gpu because they are on idle and don't spin or the psu.

The noise is located in the midle of the chassis this makes me think that the problem comes from the motherboard or the dvdrw(even though there is no disk inside).

Waiting for your opinion .

Please list your specs.

Try removing the graphics card and seeing if the noise persists.

If you can stop all your fans with a finger, and if the noise is still there. Then its not a fan.

Hard drives can make some strange noises if you have any spinning disks. Same with optical drives, even with no disc in it.  unplug the power from those and see if the noise persists.

Coil whine can come from power supplies and motherboards as well as video cards.
