So, I installed nvidia-driver-435 on my Ubuntu 18.04 LTS. after reboot all I get is this. Ubuntu startup logo is displayed and then it directly comes to this. It worked fine before I installed the driver. How do I get it to work again? please help! Thank you!

 

System spec :

Intel Core i5 4670

8GB RAM

Nvidia GTX 1050 Mini 

 

PS : dont mind the "^[ "s and "jhjh06^[^["

From my past experience of using Ubuntu and installing the latest Nvidia driver you should use the Graphics Driver PPA

https://launchpad.net/~graphics-drivers/+archive/ubuntu/ppa

 

Installing the driver from nvidia.com screwed up my Ubuntu install where it failed to boot.

I installed it from the graphics driver PPA
