It doesn't matter. Plop it in the first or second one depending on cooler clearance

No, the top slot is 16X and the 2nd slot is 4X, top slot is best for performance.

8700K @ 5.2ghz 1.29V, 4x8 Rev.E @ 4040 13-20-20-39 1.7V.

You should put your graphic card to PCIe slot nearest to your CPU.
