Google "GTA 5 ini file" mods - it should show you where this file is, and if its possible to change the resolution at start.  With games I play it is.  I am at work however and cant do the research for you at this time.

Hi I'm UDONTO.

And I'm asking for help.... For a friend who doesn't speak english.

GTA V won't start for some reason.

He just gets a message called "Kein Spielspeicher mehr. Bitte rebooten und das Spiel neu starten.". Which is german and means in english roughly "No game memory anymore.  Please reboot and restart the game."

I don't know what "game memory" means in english or german.

We tried to change the language in windows to english so that we would get the english Error description. But that didn't work out. We just got a black screen for some seconds and no error description.

Some YouTube tutorials have suggest him that we would have to install some kind of mod to get more "game memory" but that didn't work as well.

My friend said there would be a limit of how many vehicles you can install as a mod into GTA V.

I can't tell if that is true because well... I never installed a mod before.

Please help.

Have him reinstall the game completely. Or try verifying game files.

It's a complete reinstall without any mods.

He just bought it from a local store today.

its probably talking about video memory.  which would be his graphics card not having enough vram.

what gpu does he have?

How do Reavers clean their spears?

I don't think that's problem. Because it worked just fine before.

It's a GTX 960. But I'm not sure because it doesn't look like it.

Try a couple other games and see how they run.   If it is only GTA when prune it and install over again.

If its a 960 w/ 2gb of VRAM and he is trying to launch it in a resolution that it wont support with that low of VRAM (taking a guess here, I know at 2gb or lower it doesn't want to be over 720p).  If can change in .ini file to launch at 720p maybe you can get it to launch?

It's only GTA. But what do you mean with "prune it"?

Those have 2GB VRAM AFAIK, you have to drop texture settings in GTA V, looks like it's running out of VRAM and that could be why it's crashing.

So, after many retrys we've got a new error description.

This time it says "Die Ausnahme "unknown software exception" (0x80000003) ist in der Anwendung an der Stelle OX00007FF7774145F7 aufgetreten. Klicken Sie auf "OK", um das Programm zu beenden."

In english: "The exception "unknown software exception" (0x80000003) has occurred in the application at location OX00007FF7774145F7.  Click "OK" to exit the program.".
