Hi,

I bought this computer roughly a year ago, recently I've wanted to set up a dual monitor. Plugged all in with adaptors needed etc. Come to realise that only the HDMI works and the VGA/DVI doesn't. Emailed them to say is there a problem with it and the response was simply only the hdmi works but they wouldn't respond to me when i asked for help So, is there anyway i can get the other ports to work without having to buy a new graphics card?

Any help appreciated.

Thanks

There is no 1050ti that I know with VGA output, since Pascal cards support only digital display outputs (like HDMI and DP) natively, not analog display outputs like VGA. If you're using an adapter, you need those larger ones with a signal converting chip (so one side will have a rectangular piece as big as a smartphone battery), not just a cable with HDMI/DP on one end, VGA on the other.

What country are you from and where did you buy the card. Also what is the card brand and model?

If it is broken and you are in the EU then GOOD NEWS!!! you have a 2 year warranty and can get the card replaced if it is broken.

From the UK, bought the PC ready made.

Nvidia GeForce GTX 1050ti

Just call up the guys you bought it from and tell them your issue. If it is broken they have to repair or replace it under the current law on electronic goods.

It's an EU rule, but the UK isn't likely going to be changing consumer laws post Brexit so it should be fine even if they try and delay you.

Cant seem to find a link to the exact one but I think it's just a non supporting of VGA after a thorough look. My other option is that I can get a HDMI splitter to do the job, has anyone had any luck with one ?

I am sure there are plenty that have DVI. It definitely doesn't have VGA (It seems you may be confusing the connections).

I personally run a Display Port (Main), DVI (Second), HDMI (Oculus Rift) on my RX 580 without issues.

Are you sure you are connecting the output from your card to the second monitor, or are you connecting to the connection on your motherboard?

Though VGA output on video cards has gone the way of the do do for YEARS now, budget motherboards sometimes will keep VGA as an output, especially OEM manufacturers.

A picture would be the most helpful here, as really this should all be plug and play, especially on a GTX 1050ti.
