fps drop after cpu and gpu overclock HELP

NeroLobos

my Build

Case:Corsair 570x

MotherBoard:Asus Rog Maximus x code

Cpu: I7-8700k

Aio: Corsair 150i pro running push pull

Fans: Corsair ll120

Ram: Corsair Vengeance rgb

Gpu:Evga Rtx 2080ti FTW3

Psu: Corsair 650w rmi

i just recently decide to giver overclocking a try and i think i messed up cause my frames in games have drop

first thing i did was upgrade my bios to the latest firmware and made sure everything else was update then i followed der8auer guide https://youtu.be/CoUtA7DKXhU the only thing i change was cpu ghz to 4.7 and a avx offset to 0 and cpu voltage to1.270 then i stressed tested it for 2 hours and never crashed with thermals maxing out at 72c

as for my gpu i loaded up heaven benchmark went for 1000mhz in memory and 110 clock and i went full on voltage/gpu temp/power thermals maxing out at 63 didn't notice anything wrong until i loaded up a game so i checked all my setting loaded up the stress test one more time for cpu and gpu that when i noticed frame rate drop in heaven so i went back to my bios loaded up the default presets did the same with my gpu default preset and i am still getting bad frame rate.

Firstly do not overlock CPU and GPU  OCing will not do much for your rig.  You can take that 8700k to 4.8Ghz easy.

Asus Sabertooth x79 / 4930k @ 4500 @ 1.408v / Gigabyte WF 2080 RTX / Corsair VG 64GB @ 1866 & AX1600i & H115i Pro @ 2x Noctua NF-A14 / Carbide 330r Blackout

Scarlett 2i2 Audio Interface / KRK Rokits 10" / Sennheiser HD 650 / Logitech G Pro Wireless Mouse & G915 Linear & G935 & C920 / SL 88 Grand / Cakewalk / NF-A14 Int P12 Ex
AOC 40" 4k Curved / LG 55" OLED C9 120hz / LaCie Porsche Design 2TB & 500GB / Samsung 950 Pro 500GB / 850 Pro 500GB / Crucial m4 500GB / Asus M.2 Card

good chance its on windows end. first thing I would do would be run display driver uninstaller (DDU). if that doesnt help, it may well be time to nuke your windows install and start fresh.

My rig: r7 1700 @ 3.9/1.35v, 16gb ddr4 3200, assorted rando SSDs, hx 1050, vega 64 1650/1025

OC can make your system more unstable. Avg is better but min can be lower.

did you uninstalled from windows safe mode?

also double check to see that the msi after burner/evga oc program are on default(which ever one you used)
