Is my PSU too weak?

0NE

Hi,

I've got a some used parts for a new build, but the system won't boot when everything put together.

It shows the erazer logo and sometimes I can successfully boot into bios, before I lose the hdmi signal.

My build consists of 4x4gb sticks, an i7 2600k, a ms-7681 ver.3.2 and a hd 6870 8pin gpu

I've got another GPU (Rx 580 6pin) which doesn't even show the boot logo (not the win10 one)

I've already resettet the bios

Pls help!!

Please provide the specs and PSU Model Type

It’s a FSP psu. Literally on the side of it.

@0NE how old is that psu? It looks really old and might be going faulty.

According to this this psu doesn’t even have 6 or 8 pin connectors.. might be the issue

If the PSU is old it may be worth upgrading it anyway, if it does eventually fail it could damage other components.

Yeah it is, odd.

but still... I don’t know how old that unit is but I think getting yourself a new psu is good either way.

a Corsair CX (2017) unit will be fine for your build.

See the sticker that says "ErP 5VSB < 1W"?  That puts it between 2010 and 2013.  ErP +5VSB requirement for 2013 and later is < 0.5W.
