DVD Decryption Troubles

Hi all, I'm having a ton of trouble trying to decrypt and copy the contents of this disc. The disc in question is Avenged Sevenfold's All Excess. If anyone else has the same DVD, please let me know if it works for you normally on PC.

 

So far I've tried 5 different programs. VLC, PowerDVD 19, DVD Decrypter, DVDFab 11, and DVDShrink.

DVDFab hangs while trying to open the disc (same with VLC)

 

DVDShrink hangs for a while, then throws this error: https://i.imgur.com/ItEXRvs.png

 

PowerDVD 19 tries to play the disc, but video is VERY choppy. Also, menu buttons do not appear.

 

It's not the disc, it plays normally on a conventional DVD player. It's also not the drive, I can play other DVD's just fine (even other live DVD's from the same band!)

 

Any help would be appreciated.

It probably has copy protection which is very hard to bypass

@Faisal A Welp. No way around it I guess? Really don't want to buy an actual DVD player.

i don't know if this is the issue here, but i have heard of some media companies doing some real dumb crap like intentionally writing bad data to confuse ripping programs, having multiple programs report a crc or a uncorrectable error would first indicate something like that.

Try makeMKV and see if that can do any better

@demonix00  The output has the main film, but it has no audio. That's a step in the right direction. 

 

I think the only solution to my problem is to suck it up and buy a DVD player.

Happy one year

 

It started working after I upgraded my GPU from a GTX 1060 to an RTX 2080...
