Make sure you quote or use @5x5 so people see your response

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Primary PC:

i7 8086k - EVGA Z370 Classified K - G.Skill Trident Z RGB - WD SN750 - Jedi Order Titan Xp - Hyper 212 Black (with RGB Riing flair) - EVGA G3 650W - dual booting Windows 11 and Fedora Linux - Black and green theme, Razer brainwashed me.

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

PSU tier list

How many watts do I need?

PSU misconceptions, protections explainedgroup reg is bad

Okay, so here is a guesstimate. Tell me if the parts are within budget since I have no access to the site.

Ryzen 5 3600X

MSI B450 Tomahawk or ASRock B450 Pro4

2x8GB DDR4 3000 or higher

Western Digital Blue 500GB or Crucial MX500 500GB

RX 5700 with a custom cooler (Sapphire Pulse, XFX Thicc II, Asus Strix, Power Color Red Devil etc)

Corsair CX550 grey or Be Quiet System Power 9 or Cooler Master MWE Bronze. All you need is 500-600aw

Any cheap ATX case

Well my idea was

Ryzen 5 2600X

32 3200 DDR4

B450 (MSI)

RX590

idk the cooler names

Neither the psu

And a case that is cheap

I know ram prices have come down, but 32gb is just throwing away money you could use to upgrade the CPU to a 3600x. So I would go with 16gb of 3600 ram 80ish vs 170+ for 32gb. Then take that money you saved and upgrade to a 3600x which will give you much better performance than the 2600x.

The 590's are on sale so landing one for 170ish should be very doable. You don't really need a cooler as the stock one with the 3600x will be plenty.

I would pickup a 500-550w PSU from a t3 or higher on the list. As for the case this is mostly personal preference, but I would aim for something with plenty of air flow and possibly one that comes with 3 or 4 included fans to make the process a little simpler on you.

Looking at the 2 programs you mentioned none of them have high enough ram requirements to need more than 16gb of ram. Also even if you are opening many tabs in chrome you should STILL have ram to spare.

For example I have 21 tabs open right now in chrome on my work machine. These are mostly various tools I use and other items needed for work... but my point is... 21 tabs are open and I am using less than 900mb of ram.

Also, do not cheap out on the power supply. We had three people today on this forum alone who had bought a cheap power supply only to have it kill all of their components because it lacks proper protections. The power supply is the single most important component of a system

That's why you should look at the models I posted above. Those are the absolute minimum. If it were me, is buy a Be Quiet Straight Power 11 Gold or a Cooler Master MWE Gold/Corsair TXm Gold
