So I have finally put everything together in my first build from scratch. Everything is brand new accept the power supply I was hoping to reuse from another PC. It is an OCZ 700W PSU https://www.newegg.com/modxstream-pro-ocz700mxsp-700w/p/N82E16817341018R

I am ready to plug in the power, I was going to connect my GPU first (Asus Strix RTX 2070) and noticed that the cables do not match up from the PSU to the GPU. On the GPU there are is a bank of 6 and a bank of 8. My PSU cable has a bank of 4 and another bank of 8. Now I am not the greatest at math but I do know these do not equal the same thing. Is this PSU too old for this GPU? The link I pasted above shows the connection options, it is all Greek to me. Just wondering if I need a new PSU or is it just some cable adapter thing I should be doing?

The 4 pin and 8 pin are for CPU, not GPU

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Primary PC:

i7 8086k - EVGA Z370 Classified K - G.Skill Trident Z RGB - WD SN750 - Jedi Order Titan Xp - Hyper 212 Black (with RGB Riing flair) - EVGA G3 650W - dual booting Windows 11 and Fedora Linux - Black and green theme, Razer brainwashed me.

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

How many watts do I need?

Think I will just go and look for a new one tomorrow at my local computer shop.

I am guessing a 650w PSU should be sufficient?

My build is:

i7 9700K

motherboard - Asus z370a - ii

GPU - Asus Strix RTX 2070

Was looking at this PSU on sale:
