I just ended up using a driver auto installer program. It worked just fine

I updated this laptop to windows 10. While everything else works. The vga port on the side does not. It did while the computer was running XP. And I Need that port. 

 

It has a plaidbook by daktech, no stickers that give it a specific model number. and there is a display adapter that does not have its driver in the device manager. 

The procrssor is the intel core 2 duo p9600.

 

I thought it was a 32bit processor when I made the drive so it runs win10 32 bit. Don't think that is the problem, however.

take a look of the unknown device in device manager and take a look at the hardware ID.  You can usually just google that and find out which driver is needed.
