BOD when exiting bios

zindan
Go to solution Solved by zindan,

IT WORKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I TRIED STARTING WITH A GPU AND IT WORKED!!! APPARENTLY THE CPU GRAPHICS DRIVER WAS FAULTY! For now it works. I hope it maintans like this.

Hi guys. I bought some used pc parts. And when I booted first time it took me to windows normally no problems (had windows preinstalled on bran new ssd) after 1 minute of use then the pc rebooted out of nowhere. It started up again and after 1 minute I got a blue screen of death... I then took the same ssd to another pc and it worked fine. Ive tried different rams and the issue remains.

In bios everyrhing works 100% super fast super smooth no errors, no nothing.

I tried reinstalling windows on this pc but idk when install finished loading, after the black screen with loading dots thing, then I got BOD again.. :/ really sucks.

just to be clear, i am 100% sure that the problem is not the ram, not the psu, not the ssd. Problem must be like a software thing or ram/cpu. :/

parts:

intel core i7 4790

mobo:  Asrock H81M-VG4

psu: corsair 750W bran new

Ssd 120gb kingston bran new

ram: blue corsair vengeance 2x4gb 1600Mhz

+ I tried another stick that was 1x4gb, same issue

what could this be? I am willing to pay someone if you help me. Thank you guys!

Some machines don't like windows 10 and/or ssd's.  I have two lenovo laptops that are the same model but one was built for win10 in mind the other win8, just a couple months seperate them.  On the older machine I can't run an ssd at all, not even on win8.  I'm inclined to think that it is a uefi/bios issue.

I would attempt a bios update

I tried using a gyx 1060 6gb now to see if it works.

So you think win8 will be more compatible and solventhe issue?
