Do i have to grab DX9 and install it for the damn G HUB to install ?

Turtle Rig

The Logitech G HUB doesn't install.  I launch the setup exe and the mouse makes loading really quick with cursor and thats it, nothing happens.  In the error log file says G HUB and D3D9.dll fault error.  Is my DX9 jacked up ?  Should I install DX9 and would that fix my problem.  Also sorry for posting here as this is a software issue, but its for the perifhperals I use and I get my G915 tomorrow and that needs G HUB.  It has never install just quick mouse loading and nothing,, but I get the error in the log file.  I don't want to install DX9 and jack up my system.  Should I do it ?  Or wait for Logitech to get back to me escalating to tier 2 and what not.

Also I have completly removed LGS and no traces of it.  It works on other computers here.  The d3d9.dll has a date of 2019 August so I don't know.

G Hub is an incredibly buggy software from my experience, I've been using it since the VERY beginning of beta and it's hardly improved if at all. You will probably need to uninstall it, remove any trace of the original .exe file, don't opt in to transfer your previous keybind set ups etc.

Thanks for the reply.  I have never installed G HUB .... When I tried to as I said it gives mouse quick working for a second then nothing happens.  It works on other machines here.  The fault says d3d9.dll ............ so installing DX9 wont fix it uh ?

As crazy as it is, there are many games that still requires DirectX to be installed on Windows 10 even if it is supposed to be already there. However it is usually handled by the installer and as a one time thing, you don't notice it after that. I benchmark multiple systems a lot so I probably encounter this a lot more than most ever will.

However I don't think that's the problem, as in those cases you will get an error saying you don't have DirectX at all. You can try downloading/installing it anyway and see if it helps.

Gaming system: R7 7800X3D, Asus ROG Strix B650E-F Gaming Wifi, Thermalright Phantom Spirit 120 SE ARGB, Corsair Vengeance 2x 32GB 6000C30, RTX 4070, MSI MPG A850G, Fractal Design North, Samsung 990 Pro 2TB, Acer Predator XB241YU 24" 1440p 144Hz G-Sync + HP LP2475w 24" 1200p 60Hz wide gamut

Well what troubles me is that DX9 errors shouldn't be showing up period, unless it's a graphically intense application or something that uses advanced graphics processing.

The problem is, this isn't a game. This is the software suite for Logitech devices.

Doesn't have to be a game, it can be any software making use of any of the rendering stuff it offers.

@Turtle Rig Exit msi afterburner, or find some other background app that use/hooks dx9 before running the setup software. I happen to troubleshooting this with an event viewer and found your thread.

I think what happened was G HUB trying to update but crashed during the reinstall because of afterburner. So the end result is like G HUB uninstall itself.
