Pretty old, it has a 4 core CPU with 8 threads.  New high end cpus have 6/12 or more.  

The 1070ti was probably added later on as an upgrade and your Bud thinks he still has a nice machine.  But the 1070ti is a generation old now too.

It's worth 500-700 maybe, depending on the market.

Hi there,  A recent acquaintance of mine had a custom built PC. And he wanted to sell it. I do not know much about PC. But I was interested to buy it.

Just do not know if it is worth it now in 2019 .

Nvidia GeForce 1070 Ti

DDR3 20 GB ram

Fully modular case - Cooler Master

850Watt Corsair PSU FULLY modular

Riser setup for vertical GPU mount

256gb X 2 SSD

2TB X 2 SATA drives

7 inch screen setup for stats monitoring

So is this thing worth 900$. I play some games .But I work with a lot of graphic intensive applications with 3d and Designing.

Any info will be good.Thanks!

More so that the i7 in there is quite old. I would put this build closer to the 500-600 dollar range on account of those extra drives

It's not a bad system, but the CPU is pretty dated. If I was going to buy the system I'd pay $600 max without seeing it.

 

$900 is a pretty high number IMO.
