Can I convert ultrabook to a HTPC?

I have an old Asus ux21e Zenbook that I want to use as a HTPC, I took out the cooler and flat heat pipe, because it was noisier than 4x Boeing 777 engines combined. And battery is gone too, but I honestly don't know what to use as a diy/redneck cooler solution I've posted a picture if someone want to help me out :) the ssd is loose, but the cpu is right to the ssd sticker, I don't expect to put the back cover on it again

Apply some high end paste and get a new cooling solution (possibly the old one had a bad pipe)
