Msi rma scam?

So i sent out my monitor because i couldnt get the screen to stop cycling colors. So when it arrived to them, they said it was shattered in shipping and the new cost for the 300$ monitor to get fixed was 275$. So after already paying for 60$ shipping and not being able to get a claim from usps, i’m not paying that. So then they tell me its so bad they couldnt even access the problem because the lcds are so shattered that they cant even turn the monitor on. Now i have the monitor back home (it hurt to open that box), and though the screen is scratched up (check videos), i have been able to turn it on. So they lied about that? I’m not shipping it back to them. Is there any way i can get my own firmware update or factory reset, i have a laptop and a usb accessible.

It looks like the driver board is faulty. If you don't mind the slight crack, you could get away with just buying a new driver board from ebay . Please give the model number and i will find one for you

I dont think im okay with the scratches. But thanks anyway for finding the issue.
