I had an HP OMEN 15 from 2 years ago, had a i7-7700HQ, GTX 1050, 8GB ram, 256GB of storage

but it had a "4 hour" battery life (i averaged just 1.5 hours, or 2 hours if i was just using chrome and word), and when it wasnt plugged in (half of the time) it had terriable performace.

i sold this laptop and im looking for a new one that is a bit more practical

iv looked around the internet for ages, but cant find anything or just cant make up my mind.

theses are what im looking for in a laptop

-3 hour battery life at least

-i7 or Ryzen 7 (i would perfer a H over U series)

-some kind of dedicated graphics, but not over kill.

-a good screen with high nits, (there is alot of light in my collage, and i could bearly see my old laptops screen,)

-16GB of ram (or more but dont need it)

-500GB SSD (i need an SSD for what im doing)

-15 inch or lower, (my bag cant fit a 17 inch)

-something just practical in genral.

sorry for any bad grammer or spelling mistakes, im not the greatest at english

and btw im in the UK

If your budget allows, you might want to look into Dell XPS 15 or Zenbook stuff.

Purify your Windows 10/11, don't give Microsoft anything that you don't want to share.
