Ram for only Amd????

These don't really work with intel systems, get a normal 4gb ddr2 stick instead if you can find them.

It only works in a small segment of AMD machines, and will not work in any Intel machines. It is high density ram like ecc server RAM.

4GB is the maximum supported by 32bit systems, which DDR2 was for. Because of the 32 bit limits, and the nature of dual channel RAM, 4GB sticks are less prevalent and will be expensive.

 

I would reconsider bolstering this system and perhaps spend money on something more modern like a Sandy Bridge system.
