Nexusu 5 google now problem

Hi so I recently got a new Nexus 5 because my old one died by dropping and now I just got a new one and I wanted to turn on the left side google now page but it won't allow me to everywhere I searched I can't find anywhere to turn on google now I need helpu.

Also make sure it's running Android 4.4. I don't see why it wouldn't be, but just to cover the bases.

No I checked this but the problem is that I can't find it in the google setting as I posted a snapshot

That is strange, it should be there. Is everything on your phone completely updated? What does it say under Settings > About Phone > System Update and Settings > About Phone > Android version?

It's on the latest right now 4.2.2

Or 

From the home screen, tap the google search icon (or aka the google now bar)

you should see something that says get google now
tap it and follow the steps and select your account
