what kind of thing you're looking for in a cooler?

if it's quietness that depends on your fans - generally speaking.

if it's how cool it gets, how much OC'ing are you shooting for?

and if money is no object, why not just go for custom wc loop?

Check out the build: Used to be Obot, now Lilith

Assuming you are from the US, this:

http://us.ncix.com/products/?sku=79583&vpn=H220&manufacture=Swiftech&promoid=1101

Seeing as you cant really OC with that cpu though, a Hyper 212 Evo will suit your needs.

Ryzen 1600@3.8ghz / 16gb 2400mhzASRock B350 ITX / Gigabyte RX 470 4gb / 256gb M.2 / SG13B-Q / Corsair 450w

Depends how cool and quiet you want it to be. If you want the quietest possible set up, either get a large air cooler or a custom loop.

But a more reasonable choise will be a heatsink like the 212X/Evo, Xigmatek Gaia, etc.

The CM 212 Evo is more than enough to cool a stock 4570.

[AMD Athlon 64 Mobile 4000+ Socket 754 | Gigabyte GA-K8NS Pro nForce3 | OCZ 2GB DDR PC3200 | Sapphire HD 3850 512MB AGP | 850 Evo | Seasonic 430W | Win XP/10]

There's no point in that. Limit the stock fan to 40% max and it will cool the chip enough under load.

When you buy a 212 and NFF12 for the amount you're paying you might as well just buy a better heatsink that comes with better fans.

Good point. With $50 you can get Noctuas U12S or similliar with Noctuas own fans.

Why do you want to replace it though? If for looks i understand but for temps the stock cooler kept my 4770k pretty cool and wasnt loud at all.

Since you cant OC it i dont see the point... if for looks the then CM 212

Hey there. You are looking mighty fine today, have my virtual cookie!
