The PSU is a bit on the pricey side, you could take it down to 550 watts with no problem to save some money

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Primary PC:

i7 8086k - EVGA Z370 Classified K - G.Skill Trident Z RGB - WD SN750 - Jedi Order Titan Xp - Hyper 212 Black (with RGB Riing flair) - EVGA G3 650W - dual booting Windows 10 and Linux - Black and green theme, Razer brainwashed me.

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

How many watts do I needATX 3.0 & PCIe 5.0 spec, PSU misconceptions, protections explainedgroup reg is bad

I think that's a very good build, I like all the components except the PSU mentioned above.

For that budget, I would probably do it exactly like that.  Maybe swap a brand or two around but the pieces fit nicely.

Avoid MSI armour cards. The cooler is really poor. An Asus Strix or Sapphire Nitro is Far superior.

Why on earth would you change his case?  Cases are usually purely subjective and aesthetically driven.  He wants that case, leave it alone.

The no name RAM too, over an industry proven RAM?

I get that you wanted to squeeze in the RX5700, but not sure I would have done it that way.

Good call on the Intel SSD tho.

The Intel SSD is actually very poor quality and I'd strongly suggest avoiding it in favour of a Crucial MX model or a Samsung Evo

Naw, it's not very poor quality. It's lower quality than the MX or EVO but it still has decent life.  99% of users won't come near that TBW limit.

It's not about that. The controller is crap and likely to die. The iops are speeds and responsiveness are not good either. It's overpriced and overrated.

Justify why the SSD is bad.

Just calling out an SSD to be of poor quality wouldn't work.

I get that it uses qlc nand and has less endurance as compared to some of the Samsung drives. If you write 27gb daily, it would take 10years to reach the specified endurance limit.

Also, that 660p SSD is comparitively faster than those SATA SSDs. There's a reason why it is overrated.

Got a source that the SMI SM2263 controller is crap and "likely to die"?

Unlike the high end SN2262EN, the 63 is notably cut down for coat savings. Its not going to be as durable and reliable, especially when it gets hot. And we know current nvme drives run toasty. But whatever, I'm not the one recommending cheapo unreliable drives so ill let you waste the OPs money on junk.

Maybe , but both controllers will last decades on a person whos just gaming.

And temperature isn,t really something to worry about on nvme unless you got zero airflow on the motherboard

You'd be surprised how hot the drive can get under a large game install. My SM961 reached 70*C with an 80GB game install in a case with two intakes and one exhaust.
