Hyper 212 Compatibilty check

Hi to everybody , 

I have a core I7 4790 (none K) processor , with stock cooler that i want to upgrade . 

 

So i search for a valable option ... and i came across the Hyper 212 black edition RGB . But my problem with it is because from the intel website the socket type is FCLGA1150 but the hyper 212 compatiblity list show only LGA1150. 

 

So is this cooler fit on my mother board and CPU ???

 

My motherboard :Gygabyte H97-D3H v1.0 (Heatsinks are gold)

It is compatible, all LGA or FCLGA (it doesn't matter) 115x is the same mounting.

It would. FC is "flip chip" and only matters for technical specs, the physical size is the same. All LGA 115X share the same mounting size.

Yes it is, you should only concern with your case really, the motherboard is fine and youtube is filled with guides.

You could use PCPP to verify, but yes it fits. I've been built using earlier version of 212 on same gen motherboard.
