Would eventually upgrade the cpu after a year or two max depending on what comes out and if I feel like it's needed.

Reason for a new build is only for gaming, I'd like to stick with Intel since I only had experiences with them and would eventually upgrade. I'm interested if it could run 1440p but that's not a priority since I game on 1080p but I'm still interested.

Any feedback and help is appreciated.

Personally i always recommend rmx for psu no matter the budget.

case has bad thermals ive been told just be aware and make sure u fill all fan slots.

To clarify to other people about the caviar blue, the link on pc part picker is dodgy, that is a link to a WD Blue not Caviar blue (which is the sata II/PETA version of WD Blue)

People are gonna start shouting AMD AMD AMD to u btw.

I mean if you want to buy a hot, power hungry and slower cpu, that's your call but the Ryzen 5 3600 is universally better in every way possible. It uses less power, runs cooler, crushes i5s in any multi-threaded scenario, matches them in games and isn't affect by the 6-7 severe security issues with current Intel cpus. Not to mention you can upgrade to 16 cores whereas 1151 is dead. Intel will not be releasing new cpus so upgrade options are limited to the space heater that is the 9900K which has already become a meme as it uses more power than most gpus.

Also, 360 gets you a 2060 Super, buy that. It's much faster. Or buy a 5700 if you want more vram. 2060 non super isn't really capable of smooth 1440p AAA gaming.

Lastly, that board is absurdly overpriced. More than 120 for a Tomahawk. It should be a pretty good indicator thr the build is not balanced when the motherboard costs mora than the cpu. If your goal was some form of "future proofing" for an i9, you'll need a better vrm cooler cause the 9900K is a literal space heater. Expect insane power and thermals.

If you have an amd build in mind I wouldn't mind looking at it im open to any suggestions at the same price range. I just said I only had Intel cpus that's why I wanna stick to it but my mind isn't set on Intel only

Ryzen 5 3600 and B450 Tomahawk if you want value. Get a X570 Strix if you want to upgrade to an overclocked 16 core.

So if I were to go with the 3600 would the stock cooler be enough(I would eventually upgrade when I get the money of course) so I can save some money and go for a 2060 super or maybe the 5700xt when the custom cards release depending on price compared to the 2060 super

Stock cooler is plenty for the 3600.

So something like this should be better then the Intel build. I'm also interested in upgrading eventually, I'm guessing I'd need to go for a x570 mobo if I want a better cpu

Yes, the stock cooler is enough. Especially one you update the Bios and undervolt a bit. Then it's both cool and quiet.
