S10e vs S10

Go to solution Solved by Darkseth,

S10e will last (slightly) longer because of it's lower Display resolution. but i don't think you will notice a difference.

Ultrasonic fingerprint is fine. Not as fast as the new Oneplus 7 Pro optical (got bigger, and is not as fast as the normal sensors), but the S10e one should still be a bit faster.

Make your own decision about that.. Many people, even reviewer claimed for the Oneplus 6t, that the fingerprint sensor doesn't work, is unreliable, and always needs 4+ tries.

And i was sitting there facepalming watching them use it like a braindead retard in that video.

I have no issues. It unlocks  reliable for me, and fast. Not 100%, but at least 90%+ of all times it unlocks at first try.

Greeting to all! :)

Im trying to figure out which phone i should get, its between the S10 or S10e...

I'm fine with both sizes, i'm fine with the fact that if i get the s10e then i won't have a optical zoom. My priority is the battery, which one will will last longer? As well as the fingerprint scanner, is the ultrasonic any good? I understand that the s10 has the bigger battery, but that doesn't always mean it lasts longer, for intense the better screen res will drain the batter and so on. I read that the ultrasonic fingerprint is super bad, not fast and not reliable... is this true?

Thank you to anyone that will help me out with my problem :) Peace!

About half a year ago I had the same issue :)
Basicly, I got S10 (non "+"), because I could afford it, and telecamera was worth it for me (8GB RAM was a nice touch).

If you don't need camera with optical zoom - go for S10e (it should be cheaper) and buy proper drop-proof case for it.
S10 has a bit more RAM (8GB vs 6GB), but that isn't a big deal at this point.
Also, I really don't think a fingerprint scaner quality should be considered as highly on what smartphone should have.

PS. Oh, and both S10e and S10 DO NOT use the full resolution of their screens on GUI (by default). If you want to use it change must be made manually in screen options.
