Hello,

We are a 3D Scanning company, and we recently purchased a pc. We've been supplied the best hardware specs from the maker of our software and I was hoping if you guys have some tips. Either Hardware adjusments or BIOS settings. Im not a total noob when it comes to pc's but iam not very familiar with all the BIOS settings and stuff. I've heard some setting which would boost the RAM for example. See the specs below.

You could Manully OC the CPU to about 5ghz - but if running stock intel cooler than please don’t. Won’t be enough to keep it cool. Is there an aftermarket cooler installed?

Make sure the ram is set to 3000mhz in the bios and not stock 2133mhz

Sorry, my bad. Eyes are letting me down haha.

yes that cooler is sufficient enough. I think for l your cpu there is an option to enable 5ghz OC from the bios. Not entirely sure but if memory serves me well. Otherwise manually tinker

@Stormseeker9 I've read some stuff on the internet about z370 boards not being able to handle i9900k's. Is this true?

To be fair.. z390P is a poor board for that cpu.

a WS pro or WS sage or a higher end Taichi / EVGA would be better for your use case.

Ah I see. I can pick 1 out of these. Which one would you recommend and why?

Grab a aurus pro or master. You for sure can run the 5ghz OC without issues and temps will stay in check. Overall much higher and better quality board. All the components being used on it etc.

and doing 3D scanning work wise I would invest into the pc so it won’t break down in the short term

Just upgraded it to the Aorus Pro! It also has more upgradability in the future. E.g. a second graphicscard etc.

Thanks for your support! Will show some pics when we receive the pc.

nice!
