Hi,

i recently bought gtx 1060 6gb, before it i had r9 270x. My cpu is amd fx 6300, and 8gb ram. What is the cheapest way to upgrade my pc, so that cpu wont bottleneck my gpu? I was thinking about used i7 4770k, with matherboard for around 165-170USD (150 Euros). Or something else and cheaper?

But don't upgrade unless you see a performance deficit, sure the CPU is too weak most of the time but what is it too weak for in your case?

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Primary PC:

i7 8086k - EVGA Z370 Classified K - G.Skill Trident Z RGB - WD SN750 - Jedi Order Titan Xp - Hyper 212 Black (with RGB Riing flair) - EVGA G3 650W - dual booting Windows 11 and Fedora Linux - Black and green theme, Razer brainwashed me.

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

PSU tier list

How many watts do I need?

PSU misconceptions, protections explainedgroup reg is bad

Ryzen 3 is worse than 4770k. I play GTA  V, Cs go, total war warhammer 2, and for  example in gta V, everything on high-normal, i get avg. 50-55fps.

It's not exactly far behind, and you have a real upgrade path. With a 4770k you don't have the option to drop in a better CPU later.

But your not buying into a dead platform. With what @fasauceome picked in his build you can upgrade to a 2/3/4(?) ryzen cpu down the line. Spend double on cpu and you will have better game performance than a 1200

Yes, go for this one. You will have a lot of upgradeability options. Or you can sell your current cpu+mobo and get a better cpu like a r5 2600.
