Intel makes no sense here. At best you get a six core Ryzen 5 3600

isnt z390 an overclock chipset? whats the point of having that if the processor isnt an unlocked one

It is said that an Italian dies every time Spaghetti is broken.

That's why I break mine twice.

overclocking isn't the only difference in chipsets. 3 pcis 3.0  m.2 storage slots vs 1 on a B360 and raid support on the z series.

mostly I am leaning z390 if insisting on intel for the out of the box comparability for ix 9xxx series chips without needing to worry about the possibility of a bios update. It also means down the line there is the possibility of finding a used i9 9900k and dropping it in and not having compatibility issues to extend the life of the system with a future upgrade

the problem with intel though is that 32 gb of ram only make sense if you're using it for productivity, and for productivity the i5 9400F is not good

sure... but the user asking the questions was "what is the best I can do with intel and 32 gigs of ram for $450"

i did note amd is generally better at this (and really all but the absolute top) price point... and think 32 gigs of ram is a waste for most uses, but maybe he has some edge case I am not sure about needing high single thread performance working best on intel and hogging ram /shrug
