Hello guys. So, I have Razer Kraken pro v2 which is like 2-3 years old. I want to buy new headphones, but I am afraid because I don’t want to buy it so I can see that my old HPs are better, how to even make a difference between HPs? I would prefer wireless, also it needs to be really good for music. My budget is around 150€/$

Thanks for any help.

What's wrong with the Razer set?

2-3 years is a break in period for speakers.

They last decades, hell I still have the Pioneers my old man bought in Vietnam.

Wireless headset with high quality sound arent available at your budget. However if you want great sound you should go for sennheisers they have excellent sound all round, and if you insist on wireless just save up a bit more and go for their wireless options they have open back and closed back options as well.

For closed backs especially at this budget they aren't really competitive. It's not a comfort issue it's a sound quality issue. For under $150 they have their work cut out for them. Their sister company Neuman makes a killer closed back though

So this guy compared the NAD HP 50 to the Neumann NDH 20 which is 5x more expensive. His conclusion was "The HP50 wins hands down" and "I can't believe the Neumann costs 5x more when it's clearly worse". More specifically, he was listening to Hans Zimmer and found that the Neumanns were struggling with the more subtle organ arrangements, whereas the HP50 didn't break a sweat. Personally, I am stoked that my $100 HP 50 is comparable or better than over-engineered german luxury headphones which cost $500. But nobody likes the HP 50 because they're ugly. UGLY. That headband looks so dumb. I mean, the folks at NAD are geniuses, but they should have spent more time on the design. The HP50 was their flagship, but nobody noticed. It was a $350 headphone at launch.

I mean headphones are subjective and I don't know any of these guys credentials so I don't trust his opinion too much

I understand your point of view completely. The review is way too long. This guy has only ~100 subscribers, despite being quite active. But I viewed his videos and I can tell several things:

- He dislikes Zeos and his tendency for overhyping unremarkable products.

- He doesn't like the Beyerdynamic DT 1770 at all, despite the overwhelmingly positive press.

- He calls audiophile review sites out for only giving positive reviews to expensive products instead of actually testing these products

- He puts a lot of effort into listening to the headphones he reviews, as shown by his excessively long reviews.

I trust this guy a lot more than your usual audiophile review site because he's unpopular and obviously not profitting from his reviews (I'm calling Zeos out). He might not be the most knowledgeable, but who is really?

I agree that zeos overhypes stuff but there's value to his reviews like build quality and his obsession with price to performance.. I think I've watched this guy before now you bring him up yeah I thought his fist video is disagreed a lot with but did like some of his amp comaprisons . With the qtest

Honestly, if I were in Zeos’ shoes I would have produced the same content (profanities, contradictions, hype and everything else). Audio is so subjective that even a cheap headphone that doesn’t sound like trash (i.e. Koss Porta Pro) can give you a great experience. It’s like wine.

My main gripe with Zeos is that he likes and hypes stuff that I really don’t like. I like a thicker, smoother sound without nasty treble spikes. Zeos likes sharp treble. I cannot take his recommendations.

My taste semi aligns with Zoe's I by no means have old.man ears I got them tested and they are pretty damn good for 20 years old but I tend to like bright bassy headphones regardless.
