The seven expansion slots in the back below your motherboard I/O Shield.

Yes it is plugged there is what I meant, but what do you mean connecting monitor to GPU? My monitor is VGA using a VGA to HDMI adapter that is connected to IO shield.

My GPU is installed if thats what youre asking since the fans spin and motherboard reads it

Hey guys I just finished building my PC and everything seems fine but looks like Its not using my graphics card for some reason

I did install the nvidia drivers

Also the nvidia control pannel option when you right click on desktop does not work.

I can see lights on my MSI 2060 inside my rig which means it is connected, also I do see it on Device manager under display adapters

Im using z370 asus prime II motherboard and i5-8600K

Edit: Im using a VGA monitor old version of ViewSonic but Im using a VGA to HDMI adapter to connect it to my PC (not sure if this might help)

Is there any chance that you have your monitor hooked up to your motherboard instead of a GPU?

Main system: Ryzen 7 7800X3D / Asus TUF Gaming B650-Plus / G.Skill Trident Z5 NEO 32GB 6000Mhz / Zotac RTX 5090 SOLID OC/ x2 WD_BLACK NS770 2TBs/ Corsair HX1000i/ NZXT H5 Flow
