depending on your gpu, resolution, and game, yes.

GTX 1060 6gb+ at 1080p on Rainbow six for example, yes, allot.

GTX 1050/Ti at 1080p on BF5? no.

GTX 1080 at 4k on Metro Exodus? no.

Then for AAA games and medium/high settings, it could very well improve frame rates. For esports titles, yes, it will improve frame rates.

It all depends on the game now. but generally, yeah, it would help.
