Seasonic focus plus problems?

I have a focus plus gold 650w and a gtx 1070. Read about the over protection shutting it down with certain gpu's but have a few games that run my gpu at 99% and never had it shut down on me.

Yeah I have the topic linked in my signature down below, feel free to give it a read.

 

With your 1070, you won't be stressing the thing too much at all, you're not likely to trigger OCP issues. Lower power graphics cards, mostly ones with a single 8 pin PCIe connector, should largely be fine. The problem is stuff like Vega, with high peak draws.
