New Mobo help

So I built a new rig and when I got the power button the system turned on but I got no display. I looked at my Mobo debug LEDs and the DRAM was lit up. I switched the RAM from A2 and B2 to A1 and B1 and it booted fine. Does this mean two of my RAM slots are dead? Also it does this weird thing when it powers on where all the debug LEDs turn on one at a time then it boots.

Specs:

Ryzen 7 3700X

Wraith prism cooler

ROG strix X470-f

Corsair vengeance LPX 16gb(2x8gb) DDR4 3600 CL18

RTX 2080 TI

Not certainly. Some boards do prefer two slots to be filled in first before the others, though I doubt if it goes to the level of not booting at all.

Any ideas on what to do?

test with a single stick on each slot?

K and is it normal for it to take a few secs and for each debug LED to light up one at a time before booting?

Yes. Even with post code displays, it will bounce around different codes until it passes everything, turns off and boots.
