Having some issues going to win 10 from win 7. I keep getting the error failed in the safe os phase data migrate 0x80070003- 0x2000D. If i upgrade without keeping files and programs it works no problem. Any thoughts or files i can share to get this figured out? Really trying to not reinstall all my software again.

can you provide a bit more detail?

- what are the specs of your system

- you say it works fine if you don't keep the programs, how did you test that?

I tested it by selecting the option then upgrading. Once it worked I formatted the drive and re-cloned my win 7 from my other ssd.

I am thinking there is some sort of application that is making it freak out and not sure if there is an easy way to find it via one of the windows logs

Here are the specs:

240gb pny SSD (the smaller ssd is cloned to this drive then I am using this as a boot to do the upgrade)

120gb samsung 840 ssd (old win 7 ssd that I keep unplugged during the upgrade process and is cloned to the bigger SSD)

1tb HDD

2tb HDD (might be 3tb)

i5-2500k

gtx 770

16gb ddr3 1600

asus p8z68-v lx motherboard
