Hi, I'm looking for anyway to optimize this build I threw together. I mainly want to use it for working. Im moving into increasing my skillset and workflow with premiere/After effects, adobe suite./Blender 2.8/ Corel Painter. I want something that can handle switching between tasks with little downtime and able to handle somewhat heavy work depending on situation. Is there anywhere I can optimize to save money and increase performance while trying to maintain a somewhat aesthetic machine? Any direction will be appreciated or assistance will be appreciated as I havent been keeping up with the PC landscape as much as I would like. Thank You!

Here is what I would like to say about this,

CPU:

Since you are going to use Adobe products, I will not recommend you going with AMD since Adobe products are highly optimized for Intel.

Motherboard:
That board is way too overkill and it will serve you no more than a x370 board unless you really need a PCIe 4.0

COOLER:

Nothing beats the NZXT Kraken X62 when it comes to aesthetics and it is powerful enough to tame a beast like i9 9900K.

RAM:

I am not sure of this if you really need 64GBs of ram. But anyways since that is in your build I didn't change it however I had go for the Trident Z RGB for aesthetic purposes.

GPU:

The RTX 2060 Super will be a better option as it will save you a few bucks, its new and goes head to head with RTX 2070 in terms of performance. The 5700XT again would have been a great option but Adobe loves nVIDIA and thats why the 2060 Super is the best option here.

Power Supply:

650 watt is more than enough. Even 550 watt will do the job but lets just keep things on the safer side.

Case:

A really good case with great air flow but the tinted glass panel dims too much of the internals but its really upto you if you still want to go with this. I would go for something different if it is meant to be somewhat aesthetic.

Monitor:
A really good monitor but 60Hz. Even if you are going to game a little on this thing 144Hz is the way to go.

So here is something I would suggest going with,

The new Ryzen cpu's actually perform very well in Adobe software so it is not as easy to suggest Intel as being the 100% best option anymore.

In any case that board isn't ideal for a 9900K considering you can get a better board from Gigabyte for less. i.e Gigabyte Z390 Aorus Pro wifi.

I would go with a good air cooler such as the BeQuiet Dark Rock Pro 4, especially as this is mainly a workstation pc.

That Acer Freesync monitor isn't officially supported for Nvidia gpu's. It might well work ok but it could also have issues such as screen flickering.

Can you explain why the air cooler would perform better than the Kraken? I have a dark rock pro 3 but im not a fan of how big it is and how it blocks access to some components. I can solve that with low profile ram (love me some low profile) but i dont like how...just big the cooler is. Does the performance outclass the Kraken?

The Dark Rock Pro 4 can perform as good as a 240mm/280mm AIO. There is also less that can go wrong with an air cooler as you only have the fan/s that can break. With an AIO the pump can fail or you can get leaks etc so you have to weigh that up as well.

If you are going with a Ryzen cpu then the Corsair AIO in your list will be fine if you like the aesthetics of that and want an AIO cooler. The CoolerMaster MasterLiquid ML240R RGB is also pretty good.

So after doing some editing and making some  changes, this is the current iteration of the build based on the suggestions posted above. I live "close" to a micro center so I might be able to save some money on the CPU/mobo and hopefully other parts as well.

The i9-9900K is not necessarily the best choice for the described usage. The 3900X is generally better in Premiere Pro and close to the i9-9900K in After Effects. See https://www.pugetsystems.com/labs/articles/Premiere-Pro-CPU-Roundup-AMD-Ryzen-3-AMD-Threadripper-2-Intel-9th-Gen-Intel-X-series-1535/ and https://www.pugetsystems.com/labs/articles/After-Effects-CPU-Roundup-AMD-Ryzen-3-AMD-Threadripper-2-Intel-9th-Gen-Intel-X-series-1533/

The case has excellent airflow with the stock fans, there is no need to spend so much adding fans.

Unless the plan is do a lot of 4K+ editing, 32GB of memory is more than enough.

Do some research before pulling the trigger on a 9900K though. Somewhere like puget systems have some good info on the Ryzen 3000 series and how they compare to Intel depending on what you are doing.

These links show After Effects and Premiere Pro with the Ryzen 3000 series included.

Just noticed brob has given similar info above ?

Im revising as the day goes on, i decided to go ryzen 3900x since ultimately, moving into more rendering/3d modules is what im aiming for and it seems like the best proposition after checking out the puget states and some youtube videos. i would personally like to get most of the parts next weekend or as soon as possible. Currently this is the newest variation that I am happy with

I would go with the Corsair LPX ram though so that you don't have to mess about with the front fan. You would need to raise it up a bit with the G.Skill Trident Z as it is taller.

@HeyYouOK?, Here is a build I made, that's similar to yours:

CPU is the same

Cooler is the Same

Motherboard is now the MSI MPG X570 Gaming Edge WiFi

Hard Drive is the same

SSD is Intel 660p instead of Samsung 960 Evo

(2nd biggest change) RTX 2060 Super

Case is the same

OS is the same

PSU is the same

(BIGGEST change) Monitor is now the Gigabyte Aorus AD27QD

I hope you consider my build, and I hope it helps.

I lurk

HP Spectre x360 13t late 2019
Core i5 1035g4
8gb ram
256GB NVME SSD
HP 24mh FHD Monitor

OnePlus 5
Jabra evolve 75

A single intake and exhaust fan are enough? the meshify C only comes with two case fans

Yes. Remember you have a mesh front, two gpu, and two cpu cooler fans assisting with the airflow.

Fans are easily added at a later time.

I'd suggest using the savings skipping the 3 Silent Wings fans to upgrade to a PCIe 4.0. NVMe drive. Should provide an immediate performance improvement. There isn't any hard data yet on how much of an improvement, but storage speed does affect several aspects of the described workload.

80+ ratings certify electrical efficiency. Not quality.
