Steam not working for me :(

I log in and it says it doesnt work but my internet connection is fine, my log in details are correct(im reading them from a paper while typing them in too), i tried restarting my pc, i tried in offline mode, but everytime i put my username and password in, it just takes some seconds and then ntohign happens and redirects me to either retry or go offline mode but even offline mode will just redirect me back. i tried changing the clinetregistry.blob file to clientregistryold.blob as steam said i should but that didnt help so i put it back.

Specs of my PC:

CPU: AMD FX 8350  Motherboard: Gigabyte 990XA UD3  GPU: Gigabyte GTX 770 Windforce 2GB  HDD: WD Green 2TB SSD:  Corsair Force GT 120GB SSD RAM: Corsair 8GB(2X4) PSU: CoolerMaster G650M

Steam has been having issues tonight, and they did take part of their service down for updates. Everything should be up now.

If you can't log in that means Steam is down.

can you log in?

oh nvm it seems to be a DoS attack

Just because something is down doesn't instantly mean its a DDoS attack, I hate when people just automatically assume "hurrr its down must be a ddos hurr"

No offense to you in particular, tons of people do it.

its in the steam forums though, everyone is saying its a ddos but yea it could be anything
